I'm interested! There's a color shift somewhere around step 3 or 4. Was that a color correction on the entire image? Or did you choose new colors and paint over?
Hey Nicholas :) thanks for showing interest! I'm using the color balance tool/layer fx a lot. Mostly I start with some rough colors (as you see) and during the progress I change it so many times - always using the color balance. Its a great tool, 'cause you're able to change the lights, midds and the darks individually - which give you a lot of options. On characters I try to keep them on a separate layer, what makes things way easier to change the color and didn't affect the background.
Thanks, that's very helpful. I use Hue/Saturation layers a lot, but it sounds like Color Balance allows for greater control. I'll try it out next time!
You're welcome!! Yeah - hue/saturation is pretty helpful (sometimes). The only downside is that it change the entire mood and colors. While working with color balance gives a lot more options and it keeps the overall mood / color theme. Sure thing - give it a shot :) Cheers
